Team’s talisman definitely ruled out for Champions League clash
On Sunday evening, PSG dominated Marseille and were the righteous winners with a 3-0 scoreline. But on that night, the happiness of that win turned into a nightmare as the team’s talisman Neymar was stretchered off in tears. A few seconds before, the Brazil international rolled his ankle after a challenge.
Now, the French capital’s team confirmed that Neymar suffered a fractured metatarsal and also a sprained ankle. Therefore, he will miss the team’s big match against Real Madrid. Emery’s team will face the European champions on March the 6th at the Parc des Princes. Moreover, PSG are losing the tie 3-1 and need a miraculous comeback to swipe Real Madrid away. Now, with Neymar absent, the task becomes harder.
Worry also came from South America as it was feared that Neymar may lose the World Cup. But immediately, those doubts were minimized. Back in May 2006, Wayne Rooney suffered a similar injury while playing for Manchester United. The Englishman managed to return to fitness after six weeks and make it for England’s World Cup adventure. Hopefully for the Brazilian, he will regain back his fitness in a few weeks’ time and be there in Russia for the World Cup.
