The second set of fixtures of the Champions League third qualifying round are to be played tonight with another five first leg matches scheduled.
We’ll take a look at two of the best matches for tonight.
FC Krasnodar vs Porto
Time: 19:00 CET
Venue: Krasnodar Stadium
Krasnodar are looking to make their Champions League debut in style as they face off against a strong Porto side in the competition’s qualifying rounds. The Bulls are a squad in the midst of significant turnover, having replaced four of their six starting midfielders and attackers from last season. All of this transition has led to a varied start to the season. At times they have looked disjointed and defensively vulnerable, and at others, their star power has led to some cracking goals.

They will enter this fixture with the advantage of having already played four weeks of the Russian Premier League, while Porto will likely be rusty, having yet to play an official league fixture. The Bulls will aim to start their Champions League story on the right foot in front of what is sure to be a sold-out crowd at the Krasnodar Arena.

CFR Cluj vs Celtic
Time: 21:00 CET
Venue: Stadionul Dr. Constantin Rădulescu
Celtic have started the new season strongly and are fancied to prove a cut above CFR Cluj in their latest Champions League qualifier. The Romanian outfit have got past Astana and Maccabi Tel Aviv but were far from convincing and this is regarded as a step up in class from those tests. Cluj, now managed again by former Chelsea star Dan Petrescu, overcame a 1-0 first-leg deficit to beat Astana 3-1 at this venue and then edged out Maccabi Tel Aviv 1-0 here before drawing 2-2 in Israel.

French forward Billel Omrani netted in both home matches and also bagged the only goal of the game when Dinamo Bucharest were beaten at Stadionul Dr Constantin Radulescu recently.
Veteran midfielder Ciprian Deac has been in good form, bagging a brace in Saturday’s 4-1 domestic triumph at Chindia Targoviste, so there are attacking threats in this team.
Celtic have rattled off four straight victories in this competition, with Sarajevo beat 5-2 on aggregate and Nomme Kalju crushed 5-0 and 2-0. The Hoops then recorded the biggest win since May 2016 when hammering St Johnstone 7-0 in their Scottish Premiership opener.
