Solskjaer’s men have had a poor start to the season, and now find themselves seven points behind leaders Liverpool after just four games. A home defeat to Crystal Palace, followed by a dreadful performance away at Southampton which saw United pick up a point. They will be heading into this clash desperate for a win.
Both Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jesse Lingard should be fit to face Leicester. Paul Pogba was unable to feature for France over the international break due to an ankle injury and, along with compatriot Anthony Martial, is ruled out. Mason Greenwood could be in line to start in attack, with Andreas Pereira moving into a deeper role from the stalemate with Southampton.
Manchester United predicted line-up: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Young; McTominay, Matic; Pereira, Mata, James; Rashford.

Leicester are unbeaten so far this term, brushing aside AFC Bournemouth and Sheffield United as well as picking up hard-earned draws against Chelsea and Wolves. Manager Brendan Rodgers has aspirations to muscle his side into the top six this year, and if they continue this current form, they could well do so.
Unlike their hosts the Foxes have their strongest lineup available for the trip to Old Trafford and they’ll be keen to prove capable of competing with United for a place in the top six.
Some would argue that Leicester’s XI is stronger than that of their hosts right now, but Brendan Rodgers is likely to make at least one defensively-minded change from the win over Bournemouth. Hamza Choudhury may well come into the midfield, moving James Maddison to a wider role on the left, while Ayoze Perez will hope to replace Marc Albrighton.
Leicester City predicted line-up: Schmeichel; Pereira, Evans, Soyuncu, Chilwell; Ndidi, Tielemans; Albrighton, Maddison, Barnes; Vardy.
- Man Utd have won 9 of their last 10 home matches against Leicester in all competitions
- Man Utd have been winning at both half time and full time in 5 of their last 7 matches against Leicester in all competitions
- Man Utd have scored at least 2 goals in 8 of their last 10 home matches against Leicester in all competitions
- Leicester are undefeated in their last 5 matches (Premier League)
Leicester haven’t beaten Manchester United since their first meeting back in the top-flight ended in an eight-goal thriller. They won’t have a better chance to end a run of ten matches without a win in this fixture.
Prediction: Manchester United 1-1 Leicester
