Barcelona need a win to qualify as they host Lyon tonight in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16.

At the moment this is probably considered as the most important match of the season for both sides following their goalless draw in the first leg in France last month.

The tie can still go both ways and Barcelona will need to be at their best if they are to beat the Ligue 1 side and book themselves a place in the quarterfinals.

As for the away team, they will have star midfielder Nabil Fekir back from suspension and will rely on his enormous talent and quality to penetrate the Blaugrana defence.

Barcelona Team News

Both Rafinha and Thomas Vermaelen are out with injuries while Ousmane Dembele is still a doubt for the home side.

Ter Stegen will start in goal for the Blaugrana with the defensive four set to be composed of Semedo and Jordi Alba at fullback positions with Pique and Umtiti to take the centre back spots.

Club veteran Sergio Busquets is set to retain his place in front of the defence with Rakitic and Arthur favourites to start in midfield as well.

With Dembele not sure of his place from the start, Ernesto Valverde should start with Coutinho on the left. Prolific attacking duo Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi are both almost sure of their place in the starting eleven.

Barcelona predicted lineup (4-3-3)
Ter Stegen; Semedo, Pique, Umtiti, Alba; Rakitic, Busquets, Arthur; Messi, Suarez, Coutinho

Lyon Team News

As for the visitors they have Gouiri out and captain Marcelo in doubt for the match against the Blaugrana.

Manager Bruno Genesio will start with Anthony Lopes in goal and Dubois, Denayer, Marcelo and Mendy to make up the four in defence.

The two defensive midfielders in front of the backline will be two young prospects Tousart and Ndombele.

Then, behind the striker, Bertrand Traore will start on the right and Houssem Aouar on the left while Nabil Fekir is expected to start in the middle just behind the striker.

Genesio will have to choose between Memphis Depay and Moussa Dembele to fill up the centre-forward position with the former favourite over the Frenchman.

Lyon predicted lineup (4-2-3-1)
Lopes; Dubois, Marcelo, Denayer, Mendy; Tousart, Ndombele; Traore, Fekir, Aouar; Depay

Head-to-Head

Barcelona lead the head to head record between the two teams with four wins. There were also three draws from the seven times the two sides met with the first one being back in 2007.

The Ligue 1 side is yet to win a match against the Spanish champions and they will need to pull out a perfect performance tonight if they are to get their first win.

Recent Form

In their last five fixtures, Barcelona surprisingly only lost one against Girona a week ago in the Supercopa de Catalunya. In the other four, they got some important wins including a double El Clasico victory against arch-rivals Real Madrid.

Similarly, for Lyon, they only lost one against Monaco away from home in the league. They also had two draws including the one against the Catalan side in the first leg and another in the league against Strasbourg last Saturday. Genesioโ€™s side managed to get two convincing wins against Caen and Toulouse before last Saturdayโ€™s match.
