QPR RECALL MANNING FROM ROTHERHAM LOAN 

QPR have activated a clause in the loan agreement between the R’s and the Millers so that the Irishman can return to Loftus Road.

The Ballon d’Or winner, whose current deal expires in 2020, is said to be one of a number of stars to be considering quitting following Zinedine Zidane’s departure and the club’s subsequent struggles.


GUARDIOLA HAS PLANS FOR SUMMER

Manchester City reportedly remain interested in signing Ben Chilwell from Leicester City, but the Premier League champions will hold off from making a move until next summer.

The Citizens are said to be looking to strengthen the left side of their defence because of¬†Benjamin Mendy’s injury struggles, restricting him to just 13 Premier League starts since joining the club in July 2017.

Chilwell recently emerged as a possible target for City after shining for Leicester, leading to his first England senior cap in the win over Switzerland in September.

Leicester value their academy product at around the ¬£50m mark, but the¬†Daily Mail¬†suggests that¬†Pep Guardiola’s men have not been put off by that hefty price tag, with a transfer still on the cards ahead of next season.

The outlet claims Isco’s father Рwho acts as his representative Рwill hold talks with United, Chelsea, PSG, Barcelona and Juventus.


SARRI WANTS ATTACKING POWER

The Blues currently sit in fourth place in the¬†Premier League table, but Sarri’s side have struggled for goals in the top flight over the past two months and there are doubts over the futures of several of their attacking players.

According to Calciomercato, Chelsea will make a move for highly-regarded Hirving Lozano at the midway point of the campaign with PSV not competing in European football for the rest of the season.

The 23-year-old has a deal with the Dutch giants until 2023, but it has previously been suggested that the Mexico international has a release clause in his contract.


PIRLO BACKING FOR RAMSEY

Former Italy midfielder¬†Andrea¬†Pirlo¬†has called¬†Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey¬†a “complete player” and thinks he would be a good signing for¬†Juventus.

Juventus have been working on a deal to sign the Wales international, according to Sky in Italy, while Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in speaking to the player.

Ramsey will be free to talk to foreign clubs about a summer move from January 1, with his Arsenal deal set to expire in June.

“He is a talented player,” Pirlo told¬†Sky in Italy. “He is a complete player who can do pretty much everything. And he scores a lot. Ramsey is a great purchase.”


SARRI WANTS FABREGAS TO STAY

Maurizio Sarri¬†has talked up¬†Cesc Fabregas’ importance to his¬†Chelsea¬†set-up and said he wants the midfielder to stay at Stamford Bridge.

“In this position we have only two players, Jorginho and Fabregas, so for me it would be really a problem without Cesc,” said Sarri. “I want him to stay, I don’t know the final decision of Cesc and the club of course.

“But for me it’s very important and if Cesc will go I think that we need to buy another player, and it’s not easy because, technically, Cesc is a very important player.”


FEYENOORD WANT RICK KARSDORP BACK

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Karsdorp may spend the spring back in the Eredivisie with Feyenoord, presumably to build up enough street cred for Roma to then sell him over the summer, or so the story goes according to Football Italia.

If that is indeed the case, this is yet another tremendous flop on the transfer market, and when taken with Patrik Schick’s somewhat similar situation, could total as much as ‚ā¨61 million in sunken costs.


EVERTON TO WAIT UNTIL SUMMER?

Everton manager Marco Silva admits he may wait until the summer to sign players, rather than risk wasting money in the January window.

‚ÄúThis is always a difficult market,‚ÄĚ he said. ‚ÄúIf we are not 100 per cent, we have to be at least 95 per cent sure they will come here to improve our squad.

Liverpool are on the verge of beating Arsenal to land Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic, according to The Sun.

The Gunners have reportedly seen their £35m bid for the 20-year-old beaten by Liverpool, with £50m likely to clinch the deal for the American.

Roy Hodgson says he knows nothing about reports that Wilfried Zaha could leave Crystal Palace for China.

“The speculation we have had so far I have got to say I find it hard to take seriously but who knows? Perhaps I shall be very surprised.

“I don’t know if you sign a new five-year contract in the Premier League and then go to China at the age of 26. But who knows? Perhaps I am naive. Perhaps it does happen.¬†

“All I do know is that no-one at the club knows anything at all about this story.”


DE JONG SET FOR BARCELONA MOVE

Frenkie de Jong is said to be a step away from Barcelona. The Blaugrana have taken a big leap forward in the push for the Ajax midfielder in recent weeks. De Jong has now given the OK to the club’s proposals, waiting for the two sides to reach an agreement for his fee.

Barca wanted to put a reservation on the player, who has always shown he’s willing to play at Camp Nou, to try and negotiate a lower fee. Half the work is done.

Liverpool full-back Alberto Moreno has hinted his future lies away from Merseyside and says he feels unhappy with the way he has been treated by manager Jurgen Klopp.

“I do not feel good, that is the truth,” Moreno told¬†Cadena Ser.

“Moving back to Spain is something I have thought about, I am tired of the cold here but I do not know about interests from other clubs.

“I am in my fifth year here, there is no agreement on a renewal and in January, I am free to listen to any offer.”

“I hurt myself giving everything for this team and I think that when I came back from injury, I deserved an opportunity.

“The situation is normal for a lot of players but simply, I did not like the way he (Jurgen Klopp) has treated me, you can say that.”

Inter CEO Marotta spoke about Nainggolan’s future with the Nerazzurri, as there have been rumours suggesting that the Belgian wants to leave in January, despite joining the club this summer.
“If he is on the market? I don’t think so, absolutely not. Our decision to suspend him doesn’t invalidate the decision we took in July. The decision was made because there are rights and duties within a group, as soon as he returns this will be forgotten,” he concluded.

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard says he will wait until the end of the season before deciding his long-term future.

Hazard’s current deal expires in 2020 and the winger insists he is in no rush to resolve his long-term plans.

“To be fair, I’m just focused on the pitch, and we’ll see at the end of the season,” he said.


DIAZ SET FOR REAL SWITCH

Brahim Diaz, 19, is set to swap Manchester City for Real Madrid, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

The two clubs have “reached an agreement” for the ¬£13.6m transfer of the Spain U21 international.


WEST HAM OFFER NASRI DEAL

West Ham have offered Samir Nasri a six-month contract worth £80,000-a-week, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Irons have backed boss Manuel Pellegrini by handing the 31-year-old French midfielder a heavily-incentivised deal until the end of the season.

It means the pair are reunited after Nasri lifted the title under Pellegrini at Manchester City four years ago.

It also comes with Pellegrini hit by the loss of striker Javier Hernandez and defender Fabian Balbuena.

Barcelona’s desire to sign Ajax’s Matthijs de Ligt could be tempered by the centre back’s potential wage demands, reports Bild.

Barca are fearful de Ligt’s agent, Mino Raiola, will advise his player to join the club who offers the highest wage and this could open the door to Bayern Munich who, along with Juventus, have been linked with the Dutchman.


COULD POGBA LEAVE?

The Frenchman may have scored a Boxing Day brace as Manchester United downed Huddersfield Town, but Paul Pogba remains unsettled at Old Trafford.

And the midfielder is still being linked with a January departure, with a loan move to either Juventus or PSG being mooted, says Calciomercato.


ALLEGRI TO UNITED?

Max Allegri will be included in Manchester United’s search for a permanent successor for Jose Mourinho, according to the London Evening Standard.

Though the Standard report¬†Spurs¬†boss¬†Mauricio Pochettino remains at the top of Ed Woodward‚Äôs wanted list, Juventus coach Allegri will also be part of a ‚Äėthorough and extensive‚Äô process.

They report that Allegri is open to working in the Premier League.


POCH CONFIRMS ALDERWEIRELD EXTENSION

Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Tottenham will trigger the clause in Toby Alderweireld’s contract to extend it until 2020.

In doing so, Sky Sports News understands they will activate a clause that states he can leave for a fee of £25m in the summer of 2019, instead of on a Bosman free transfer.

However, Spurs would have to receive that £25m offer from another club 14 or more days before the end of the summer 2019 transfer window.


ATLETI DESPERATE TO KEEP HERNANDEZ

Atletico Madrid will fight to keep hold of left-back Lucas Hernandez until at least the end of the season amid interest from Bayern Munich, says Marca.

The Bundesliga champions are ready to trigger Hernandez‚Äôs ‚ā¨80m release clause in January.

Atletico chief executive Miguel Angel Gil Marin has held talks with Bayern counterpart Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in an attempt to stave off an offer next month.

Aaron Ramsey could be on his way to Inter, with reports suggesting the Nerazzurri are close to landing the Arsenal man on a free transfer.

The Welshman is out of contract next summer, with the likes of Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Manchester United all linked with a move for his services.

However, it’s Inter that may have landed the final blow, as La Repubblica reports the Nerazzurri met with Ramsey’s agent on Wednesday to discuss a summer move.

AC Milan are interested in bringing back former striker Alexandre Pato to the San Siro after failing to land Zlatan Ibrahimovińá.

MOSES TO JOIN PALACE NEXT MONTH

Chelsea star Victor Moses is expected to join Crystal Palace in a £12m deal next month according to The Sun.

The club is ready to sell Moses when the January window opens, with the Nigerian not part of Maurizio’s Sarri’s plans. In fact, the Nigerian has made just five appearances for Chelsea this term.

Moses, who progressed through Palace’s academy before joining Wigan in 2010, would, therefore, be joining one of his former clubs at a more mature stage of his career.

GILBERTO: FRED STAYING AT UNITED

Fred has no intention to leave Manchester United, according to his agent Gilberto Silva.

The Brazilian moved to Old Trafford from Shakhtar Donetsk last summer in a deal in excess of £50m but found first-team opportunities hard to come by under Jose Mourinho.

Fred has subsequently been linked with a move away from United, but former Arsenal midfielder Gilberto told the Daily Star: “The fact that he (Fred) is not playing makes him anxious.

Juventus seem not ready to give up on Paul Pogba after Manchester United’s sacking of Jose Mourinho, according to Calciomercato.

The Serie A champions thought they had a better chance of bringing the France international back to Turin in the summer rather than in January.

Mourinho’s sacking has not changed Juve’s stance, with the Italian club hopeful of signing Pogba in the summer, although the move could hinge on United’s appointment of a full-time manager.

Bayern Munich joined Liverpool and Atletico Madrid to sign RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, reports Bild.

The Germany international has reportedly confessed he can see himself signing for Bayern in the future as his contract at Leipzig expires in 2020.

However, Bayern are yet to make an approach for the 22-year-old but are aware of interest from Liverpool and Atletico and may step up their pursuit in the summer.

Chelsea are keen on signing Gonzalo Higuain from AC Milan in a swap deal with Alvaro Morata, according to Sky Italia.

The Argentine played under Maurizio Sarri at Napoli, and the Chelsea boss is reportedly keen to link up with the 31-year-old once more.

Sky in Italy understands Morata is keen to return to Italy having previously spent two years with Juventus where he won two Serie A titles and two Coppa Italias.

However, the deal would be complicated by the fact that Higuain is on loan at AC Milan from Juventus.

CHELSEA IN FOR FEKIR?

Superagent Pini Zahavi has been employed by¬†Chelsea¬†to make contact with¬†Nabil Fekir’srepresentatives over the future of the Lyon forward,¬†L’Equipe¬†reports.

Fekir very nearly signed for Liverpool last summer only for the deal to collapse.

Chelsea are now keen on the 25-year-old, although they may have to wait until the summer to try and sign him.

JUVE WANT DE LIGT

Juventus are trying to convince Ajax defender Matthijs De Ligt his future is best served in Italy than Barcelona, reports Spanish outlet Sport.

De Ligt won the 2018 Golden Boy award this week and, as a means of pitching the club to the 19-year-old, Juve ensured Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli were sat near him at the ceremony in Turin.

The Italian champions are prepared to pay ‚ā¨75m (¬£68m) for the Dutch international with Ajax requesting young forward Moises Kean as part of the deal.

KALINIC READY TO MAKE HIS MOVE

Croatia international goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic has agreed personal terms and passed a medical ahead of a move to Aston Villa, according to Sky sources.

The 28-year-old will officially become a Villa player on January 1, with the fee understood to be in the region of £7m.

Kalinic ‚Äď currently of Belgian side Gent ‚Äď has been a long-term target for Aston Villa.

Villa were close to signing Kalinic last season, but a failure to secure promotion to the Premier League ended their hopes of concluding the deal. They also tried to sign him in 2016 but failed to secure a work permit.

Kalinic, who started his career at Hajduk Split, has been capped 14 times by Croatia and was part of the squad that reached the 2018 World Cup final in Russia. He also featured for Croatia in the 2-1 Nations League defeat to England at Wembley in November.

Rumoured¬†Manchester City¬†target¬†Isco¬†is considering leaving Real Madrid and believes Pep Guardiola is a coach who will make him feel “important” again, AS reports.

The Spain playmaker reportedly does not feel trusted by new Madrid coach Santiago Solari, and rumours of Los Blancos making a move for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard has also left him further unsettled at the Bernabeu.

Sky Sports News understands no long-term arrangement has been struck between Manchester United and Molde for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be the permanent manager of the club following his interim stint.

The clubs have agreed on a compensation package for the interim period running to the end of this season, worth less than £1m.


OZIL’S FUTURE ON LOAN

According to The Times, Arsenal will consider loaning out their player next month.

RANGERS EXTEND JACK CONTRACT

Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack has extended his stay until 2021 at the club, having made over 40 appearances since moving from Aberdeen in June 2017.

“I’m over the moon. When I found out the club was wanting to extend my contract it was a no-brainer. I’m delighted to do so and I’m looking forward to what’s to come for the rest of the season.”
