REAL MADRID PLOT MOVE FOR ALABA
Real Madrid are on the hunt for a long-term replacement for Marcelo for some time but have just not found the right one. They did get Theo Hernandez from Atletico Madrid but he hasn’t lived up to the expectations.
Diario GOL now reports that Los Blancos are looking to sign David Alaba from Bayern Munich. The left-back has been on Madrid’s radar for a long time now and the Spanish side are looking to make an €80 million move for him.
If reports are to be believed, Bayern are open to the sale as well. They have lined up Atletico Madrid’s Lucas Hernandez as Alaba’s ideal replacement.
LOZANO OFFERED TO NAPOLI
Serie A giants Napoli have been offered the chance to sign Hirving Lozano, but have asked for a discount from Mino Raiola for the Chelsea target, says Gazzetta Dello Sport.

RANIERI ‘READY’ FOR SIGNINGS
Fulham boss Claudio Ranieri could look to the transfer window after some of his squad players failed to take their chance in a 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Oldham today.
“The January window is one month and if there is the opportunity to buy somebody, I think the chairman is ready,” said Ranieri.
“I wanted to see the players not involved frequently. I didn’t see the desire, I didn’t see the passion of the Oldham players.”
Asked about reports the club has made an offer for Marko Pjaca, who is on loan at Fiorentina from Juventus, Ranieri said: “Not true.”
MILAN EVALUATE TIELEMANS MOVE
Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans could be a target for AC Milan in the January transfer window having lost out to the Ligue 1 side in their pursuit of Cesc Fabregas from Chelsea.
The 21-year-old has been part of an underachieving Monaco side that went from title challengers to fighting to avoid relegation, with Thierry Henry replacing Leonardo Jardim as head coach.
As the arrival of Fabregas is likely to bring more competition for places in the first team, Sport Mediaset understands Milan could attempt to bring Tielemans to the Stadio San Siro this month.
‘SOUTHAMPTON WILL WEIGH UP GABBIADINI BIDS’
Ralph Hassenhuttl has revealed Southampton are weighing up bids for Manolo Gabbiadini ahead of a potential exit in the January transfer window.

“Sure [they have had bids], we have to decide and he has to decide where he wants to go,” Hassenhuttl said.
“There are a few teams interested in Manolo, we will have a look and if there’s a result, we’ll tell you.”

CAVANI TO CHELSEA POSSIBLE?
The Blues are believed to have a number of targets in mind to lead their line for the second half of the season and beyond, including Gonzalo Higuain and Callum Wilson of AC Milan and Bournemouth respectively.
With doubts over the availability of both those players, though, The Express suggests that Chelsea will now push ahead with a £50m offer for Cavani.
Maurizio Sarri is said to be willing to offload six or seven fringe players this month alone to help fund a deal, with the aim of remodelling his squad before the end of the year.
CELTIC NEAR WEAH LOAN
Celtic are close to concluding a deal to sign PSG striker Timothy Weah on loan for the remainder of the season, according to Sky sources.
The 18-year-old – son of Liberia president George Weah – would become the Hoops’ second January arrival after Oliver Burke joined on loan until the end of the campaign from West Brom on Saturday.
Brendan Rodgers is understood to be keen to bolster his striking options during the January transfer window while the Scottish Premiership is on a winter break, with Weah, who joined PSG from New York Red Bulls in 2014, among the club’s targets.
MILINKOVIC-SAVIC TO STAY AT LAZIO
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is “really, really happy” at Lazio and will not leave the club during the January transfer window, agent Mateja Kezman insisted.
Milinkovic-Savic was heavily linked with a move during the off-season amid reported interest from the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus.
The 23-year-old Serbia international midfielder, however, remained at Lazio, though Serie A duo AC Milan and Inter have emerged as potential suitors.
But former Chelsea striker Kezman said Milinkovic-Savic – who has scored three goals in Serie A this season – will stay in the Italian capital this month.
“Sergej is really, really happy at Lazio,” Kezman told lalaziosiamonoi.it. “He showed how much he loves the club and fans by choosing to stay, despite having many offers.
EVERTON EYEING ATALANTA DEFENDER
Reports in the Mirror from late yesterday say that Everton are the latest club to join in the chase for young Italian defender Gianluca Mancini. The 22-year-old, currently on Atalanta’s books, is no relation to the more famous Roberto Mancini.
Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund were previously linked with interest in the player, and Italian sides Inter Milan and AS Roma have also been mentioned as being in the fray. Mancini’s current contract runs until 2023 but after his breakthrough season where he has grabbed the starting role, he is said to be reevaluating his options while Atalanta want to lock him down to a contract extension this summer.
STURRIDGE MAY GET NEW REDS DEAL
Jurgen Klopp has refused to rule out a new deal for striker Daniel Sturridge, according to reports in the Express.
The sometime England international’s current contract expires this summer.
“We don’t talk about things like that. Nothing to say. As long as the boys are here then anything is possible,” said the German when quizzed about the possibility of the 29-year-old still being at Anfield next season.
