Sheffield Utd agree deal with Morrison

Premier League newcomers Sheffield United have signed former Manchester United midfielder Ravel Morrison on a one-year deal.

Morrison, 26, attended the Blades’ pre-season training camp in Portugal earlier this month.

He played in Manchester United’s 2011 FA Youth Cup-winning side with Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard.

“It’s great to be back in England again and to get my career kick-started again,” Morrison said.

Man Utd make £50m Fernandes offer

Manchester United have made a £50m ($62.1m) offer for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes, according to the Mirror.


However, Sporting are believed to be looking for a fee in the region of £70m ($87m) for the Portugal international.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bolster his midfield this summer following the departure of Ander Herrera to Paris Saint-Germain and continued speculation over the future of Paul Pogba.

Atletico keen on Trippier deal

Atletico Madrid are stepping up their interest in Tottenham full-back Kieran Trippier, according to the Mirror.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is ready to sell the England international this summer for a fee believed to be in the region of £25m ($31m).

Atletico are after a new right-back this summer after veteran Juanfran left at the end of last season following the expiry of his contract.

Icardi training on his own

Mauro Icardi is training on his own as he waits on a possible transfer away from Inter this summer, report Tuttosport.

While the Inter squad have travelled to Asia for a pre-season tour, Icardi has remained in Italy.

The 26-year-old Argentina international has been linked with a move to Juventus or Napoli.

Arsenal interested in Brazil winger Everton

Arsenal are interested in Gremio forward Everton Soares, according to Sky Sports.

The Gunners see the 23-year-old as a cheaper alternative to Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha.

The Brazil international says he has “an offer on the plate” but won’t reveal which club has made that offer.

Haller to join West Ham in £40m transfer

Sebastien Haller has been cleared to complete a £40 million ($50m) move to West Ham, with Eintracht Frankfurt announcing that terms have been agreed on a big-money transfer.

The 25-year-old is set to undergo a medical in England before the formalities of a big-money deal are wrapped up

Ampadu set for loan switch

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has confirmed that Ethan Ampadu is set to take in a season-long loan at another club in 2019-20.

He has said of the 18-year-old Wales international whille away on pre-season duty in Japan: “Ethan is not here as we’re looking at the possibility of him going on loan for the season.

“I tried to sign Ethan on loan at Derby last year, so I’m a big fan, but with the minutes he played last year, I have to think of the bigger picture and the interests of Ethan and of Chelsea.”

Norwich sign Byram

Norwich have confirmed the signing of defender Sam Byram from West Ham on a four-year contract.

Inter plan new Lukaku bid

Inter are set to make a new offer of £60m ($75.1m) plus bonuses for Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku this week, according to Sky Sports.


The Italian side plan to pay three instalments of £9m, £27m and £27m in consecutive years plus bonuses for the Belgium international.

United are believed to want in excess of the £79m they paid Everton for Lukaku in the summer of 2017.

Napoli eyeing James alternative

Napoli have identified Lille star Nicolas Pepe as an alternative signing to Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez.

The Italian side are in talks with the Colombian as Carlo Ancelotti hopes to reunite with his former Madrid and Bayern Munich charge. Negotiations are taking a long time, though, and the club are looking at other options.

Lille have already admitted they expect to lose the winger after an awesome season in Ligue 1, but Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly backed out and no club has met their €65 million (£58m/$73m) asking price.

Neymar wants to leave PSG

Neymar has reiterated his desire to leave Paris Saint-Germain, even though the club have tried to persuade him to stay.

Several reports have claimed the Brazil star met up with PSG sporting director Leonardo to discuss his future amid ongoing speculation surrounding a return to Barcelona.

And Sky Sports says that the Ligue 1 side attempted to change Neymar’s mind, but he made clear that he wants out of the French capital without saying where he wants to go.

De Gea to sign new deal with Man United

David De Gea will sign a long-term contract extension with Manchester United that will see him earn over £375,000 per week.

The Daily Mail claims the goalkeeper will commit his future to the club by signing a deal when they return from their pre-season tour.

The new contract includes significant bonuses and will see him become the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world.
