The Golden State Warriors are powering through snatching up victories in the Conference Finals. The Portland Trail Blazers led Golden State through most of the fourth quarter, but the Warriors pulled ahead in the final minutes to grab the win. Even without Kevin Durant, Golden State still managed to take a 2-0 series lead over the Portland Trail Blazers with a 114-111 win on Thursday night.
Steph Curry remained the team’s most stellar shooting threat. Curry finished with 37 points on 11-of-22 shooting. Curry and Klay Thompson combined to knock down eight 3s between them while Thompson ended up adding 24 points of his own.
This is still a long series and there is optimism that Durant can return, assuming this series extends beyond four games. A potential Game 5 would take place next Wednesday and a Game 7, if necessary, would take place 10 days from now.
The teams head to Portland for Game 3 Saturday night.
