Milan, Watford, Richarlison – The rumours begin
Months after joining Watford from Brazilian side Fluminense, Richarlison is already being linked with a move away from Vicarage Road. According to Italian website Calciomercato, Serie A giants AC Milan, now managed by Rino Gattuso are closely monitoring the Brazilian’s progress. Furthermore, if reports by the same site are to be believed, Watford have already held talks with director Massimo Mirabelli. However, having already spent over £175 million on new recruits, the Rossoneri will wait until the end of the season before tabling a bid.
In a summer transfer market dominated by big moves and even bigger fees, Richarlison’s £12 million transfer to Watford slipped under the radar of many. However, once things moved from the table the pitch, the story changed significantly. In a league where many struggle to find their feet, the offensive forward adapted quickly to his new surroundings.
Richarlison is fast becoming one of the hottest properties in the Premier League. The 20-year-old has played a major part in Watford’s rise to the top. The silky forward has appeared in each of Watford’s 14 league outings this season scoring 5 goals in the process. The Brazilian has been fantastic in Watford’s rise to the top. Surprisingly or unsurprisingly, Marco Silva’s team are currently just 2 points behind Liverpool. The latter occupy the final available Europa League spot. Moreover, Richarlison is also making a name for himself on the international scene. In 2016 he made his international debut for Brazil’s U20 and has already scored 3 goals.
