Massimo Ambrosini thinks that Inter lack players
On Sunday night, Inter won the Milan Derby in the most dramatic way. Besides the suspense, this win continued to sustain Inter’s belief that they can outwit everyone and have a go at the Scudetto. At the moment the Nerazzurri are in second place two points far from Napoli who won eight out of eight. But prior to Inter’s match against Napoli this weekend, Milan legend Massimo Ambrosini claimed that despite their position, Inter won’t win the Serie A.
“Inter aren’t Scudetto material, they’re developing,” Ambrosini told Sky Sport Italia.
The reason for this admission is that the Nerazzurri don’t have enough players to survive the long and exhausting season.
“They don’t have enough bodies and some of those they bought, like Cancelo and Dalbert, arrived late.”
Inter started the season on a positive note under the guidance of Luciano Spalletti. They are still unbeaten as they won seven out of eight matches. An advantage over their competitors is that they don’t have any European commitments. This has been evident in the first phase of the season as Inter’s players were fresher. Therefore, in the end this may contradict Ambrosini’s claim as Spalletti keeps marching on for the title.
