The Spanish football league La Liga has entered into a long-term agreement with giant sports company Puma.

It will be the league’s official technical partner starting from the 2019/20 season and will be providing the official match ball and many other products for all the La Liga Santander and La Liga 1|2|3 matches.

The Spanish top-flight league is considered one of the world’s leading sports leagues and not just in terms of football leagues.

With a total audience of roughly 2.7 billion viewers across 183 countries annually and more than 80 million followers on social media, this new deal will for sure be a significant and effective one.

The sponsorship will be of great significance for Puma themselves as well since it will surely help increase visibility for the brand and continue to stabilize itself as a leading global football brand.

Currently, La Liga also has many popular names representing the German sports brand, including Luis Suarez, Antoine Griezmann, Jan Oblak, Samuel Umtiti, Santi Cazorla, Marc Bartra, and Giovanni Lo Celso.

The two La Liga sides Girona FC and Valencia CF will also be embarking on a new sponsorship deal with Puma as from next season.

“We are extremely proud to have partnered with one of the best, if not the best, football leagues in the world,” said Johan Adamsson, Puma’s Director of Sports Marketing.

“The ball is the most essential element in football, and this sponsorship is the epitome of performance. La Liga has some of the best teams and players in the world and this partnership is another step in our efforts to achieve ‘No Football without Puma’, ensuring an even stronger global reach for our brand. ”

Juan Carlos Díaz, La Liga’s Marketing and Commercial Director added: “It is an honor for a historical sports brand like PUMA, that represents great teams, important sportsmen and recognized artists, to want to associate with the best league in the world and contribute all its technical quality to our ball, which is such an important element of our competition.

“We are convinced that this agreement will be very fruitful for both companies and will allow us to continue facing our future challenges.”
