With boxing events back and picking up the pace – we have gathered what we deem to be the most anticipated fights this week to make sure you don’t miss in on any of the action!

Tuesday, June 16th ESPN, 08:00 pm ET

Joshua Greer Jr vs Mike Plania, Giovani Santillan vs Antonio DeMarco

Joshua Greer, the 26-year-old bantamweight contender from Chicago, is scheduled to face Filipino Mike Plania. Greer is the most acclaimed challenger to John Riel Casimeroโ€™s title. Furthermore, currently ranking in the Top 10 of two other organisations promises a title shot is close for the athlete if this match is won. This match has some serious upset potential for both sides.

Former lightweight titleholder Antonio DeMarco is up against the unbeaten Giovani Santillan. Coming out of two consecutive losses, Maxim Dadashev and Jamal James, this match would contribute greatly to DeMarco’s confidence for upcoming matches. Similarly this match carries a lot of weight for opponent Santilllian “A win against DeMarco will change my life … it will mean I wouldโ€™ve won a fight against a former world champion on national television … a lot of people are watching these fights, and I believe this will put me in contention to fight for a world title

Thursday, June 18th ESPN, 08:00 pm ET

Jose Pedraza vs Mikkel LesPierre, Gabriel Flores Jr vs Josec Ruiz

Jose Pedraza held titles as 130 and 135 and is undoubtedly a highly skilled fighter. Following his debut against Jose Zepeda, could Pedraza be pushing it at 140? Mikkel LesPierre on the other hand recently only had one noteworthy fight recently, the one-sided loss to Maurice Hooker in March 2019.

Gabriel Flores has already come a long way from his humble beginnings selling tickets in Stockton. This being his second fight of 2020 will influence how the rest of his year plays out. Flores hopes that as his competitive level increases, so will the chance that he gets a shot at a belt in 2021. Orthodox fighter Josec Ruiz, suffered only 2 losses since his debut. This match would further build on Ruiz’s record and would be essential for further bookings this year.

Saturday, June 20th ESPN, 08:00 pm ET

Emanuel Navarreteย vs Uriel Lopez

Emanuel Navarrete, the junior featherweight titleholder will be defending his title from fellow Mexican and Uriel Lopez in one of the most anticipated events of June. The last fight of Uriel Lopez was in 2019, December. Lopez lost to Alan Salazar by a split decision. This match has the potential to catapult Lopez into Navarrete level success. As of yet, Navarrete is the best active junior featherweight and surely wont be taking his match lightly. Undoubtedly, this is a fight you definitely cannot miss this week.
