Chelsea have finally sacked their manager Antonio Conte ahead of the new season with Maurizio Sarri poised to take over the Stamford Bridge
Conte seemed to be the One for Chelsea after leading the Blues to a brilliant first campaign in which he won the Premier League title. It was expected that he would continue his role at Stamford Bridge, however, after a poor season result, the momentum quickly died down.
After only two seasons with the west London club, Conte has already been sacked leaving the Blues without a manager ahead of the new season. Sky Sport Italia claim that the former Juventus boss has been relieved of his duties, days after he begun his pre-season training with Chelsea.
Chelsea have reached a breakthrough with Napoli and have combined a deal for Maurizio Sarri along with their midfielder Jorginho as Conte’s departure opens new doors.

Sarri emerged as Chelsea’s No. 1 managerial target towards the end of the season and has already been replaced at Napoli by former Chelsea gaffer Carlo Ancelotti.
Sarri pushed Napoli to finish just four points behind Serie A champions Juventus in the Scudetto race and the side were praised for their sparkling, attacking football.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis revealed earlier this week that Sarri was close to swapping Naples for west London.
“The Sarri deal is in the homestretch, it depends on him,” said De Laurentiis.
“I’ve laid down my conditions. It’s all in the hands of lawyers. Jorginho? We said to ourselves: ‘If Jorginho has any requests, we’ll take them into account’.”
Chelsea are yet to make any signings this summer but De Laurentiis has suggested Napoli midfielder Jorginho has snubbed Manchester City to head to London.
“For that, I’ll have to apologise to Manchester City. However, if the player would rather live in London than Manchester, I can understand that.
“If Chelsea are paying him even more, I can understand that too. Jorginho and Sarri together again? Jorginho would go to Chelsea regardless of Sarri.”
Sarri will be looking to deploy his exciting football tactics in this Chelsea side should he be appointed.
