It was an easy 4-0 win for Liverpool at the Vitality stadium against Bournemouth and sending the Reds on top of the table with Manchester City yet to play this evening.

With Mohamed Salah in an impeccable form once more against the Cherries, the Reds cruised to yet another victory to make it 16 matches without a loss since the start of the season.

In fact, the Egyptian winger increased his tally to 12 goals this season across all competitions and scored the first away hat-trick for Liverpool since Luis Suarez in 2014.

Since the start of the 2017-2018 season till now, only Lionel Messi has scored more goals (currently at 43) than the Liverpool forward currently at 41.

Before todayโ€™s match, the 26-year old had not scored a goal in any of the last 3 appearances for Liverpool.

The Egyptian opened the score in the 25th minute of the first half in quite a controversial manner because of an apparent offside following Begovicโ€™s deflection.

Then, three minutes into the second half, Salah struck for the second time after a good assist from Firmino and a precise finish from the Egyptian to make it 2-0.

With a 2-0 lead and Liverpool comfortably controlling the match, Klopp subbed off Shaqiri and Keita for Mane and Lallana also to rest his key players ahead of the Champions League on Tuesday.

In the 68th minute, Liverpool made it 3-0 thanks to an own goal from Steve Cook who was unfortunate with the deflection.

With around 15 minutes left to play, Mohamed Salah was able to grab his third and get his hat-trick to culminate what has been a stunning performance for the Liverpool star on a personal level.

Todayโ€™s win enabled Kloppโ€™s men to surpass Manchester City at first place with the Citizens yet to face Chelsea later on today and still with the possibility to retain their top spot in the league once more.

For sure, what Klopp would want is to keep getting Salah to score goals and win him matches if Liverpool want to have a shot at being crowned champions in May.
